types of Poker
There are many types of poker games, including the following.
Texas Hold’em
Texas Hold’em is a popular poker game. Players are each dealt two cards while sharing five common cards.
Omaha Hold’em
Similar to Texas Hold’em, Omaha players get four personal cards and share five community cards.
Pineapple Holdem
Combination of Texas Holdem and Omaha. Players are dealt three cards which they combine with five common cards.
Stud
Stud Poker has many variations such as Seven Card Stud , Seven Card Stud High-Low ,HiLo Stud, Five Card, Mexican Stud, or Sonora,
Draw Poker
The most basic of the poker games. It has some variations such as Five Card Draw, Jacks or Better.
Lowball
Lowball is five card draw where the lowest hand wins.
Razz
Razz is Seven Card Stud lowball.
Badugi
Badugi is a four card lowball/triple draw variant
Mixed Poker Games
H.O.R.S.E (Hold’em-Omaha-Razz-Eight or Better), H.O.E (Hold’em-Omaha-Eight or Better) and O.E (Omaha High Low - Stud High Low).
